Blog: Meet AIMS

Middle East Representative – AIMS

When it comes to solving real world gas quality challenges, strong local partners make all the difference. That’s why we’re proud to spotlight AIMS Oil And Gas Equipment Trading, our long-standing representative across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman. With 1,100+ employees and a track record since 2008, AIMS operates at the intersection of Oil & Gas, Process, Manufacturing, Lab, and Environmental industries, helping operators deploy proven technologies that improve safety, reliability, and performance.

Why AIMS partnered with Process Vision

AIMS began representing Process Vision over six years ago with a clear objective: bring game changing visual monitoring to facilities that need to see what’s really flowing inside high-pressure gas lines. Traditional measures like hydrocarbon dewpoint remain important, but on their own can miss the mist and stratified liquid flows that damage equipment, inflate maintenance costs, or pass valuable NGLs through custody points unnoticed. Direct, real-time visibility from LineVu closes that gap by validating what instruments miss, so engineers can act with confidence.

The regional challenge: liquid carryover and contamination

Across the Gulf, operators run complex networks where liquid carryover is present, even when gas phase “meets spec.” With dewpoint calculations for the same gas composition varying widely, visual confirmation has become the missing piece in day-to-day operations and custody transfer assurance.

AIMS sees this first hand: liquid mist that plugs downstream filters, stratified flows that threaten compressors, and transient events that standard sampling systems won’t catch because they’re designed to avoid liquids on the pipe wall and droplets. With LineVu, teams can watch the line and correlate what they see with process data to spot root causes faster, tune heater setpoints, and optimise pigging and separator performance.

What AIMS recommends (and why)

AIMS most often recommends LineVu because it provides evidence-basedvisibility of liquid events, turning “assumed dry” into proven data. That matters for:
Compressor and turbine protection – early detection of liquids helps extend seal life, keeps fuel nozzles clear and reduce unplanned outages.
Custody transfer confidence – operators can verify when a supply is genuinely dry or when the presence of liquids requires intervention or commercial discussion.
Process optimisation – live video plus process data reveals how separator level, temperature, and flow changes impact liquid breakthrough, supporting smarter setpoints and maintenance.

How Process Vision helps AIMS customers

Together, AIMS and Process Vision deliver:
Discovery studies for short term studies to quantify the severity and frequency of liquid events before permanent installs.
Permanent LineVu installations at high value locations (compressor inlets, custody points, power generation fuel lines) for continuous assurance and automated alerts.
Cloud analytics and reporting with machine learning assisted scoring, heatmaps, and trend insights that make it easy to brief leadership or resolve supplier discussions.

Culture and approach

AIMS describes its mission simply: bring technology that solves problems – Inventing the future. The team prides itself on problem solving, tracking market trends, and introducing innovations that improve customer outcomes. That’s why LineVu fits so well: it transforms “we think” into “we can show you.”
