1. Organiser

The Unsung Heroes Recognition Initiative (“the Initiative”) is organised and administered by Process Vision Ltd.

2. Purpose of the Initiative

The Initiative exists to recognise and celebrate individuals working within the oil and gas industry whose actions make a positive difference to colleagues, customers, operations, safety, reliability, efficiency and the wider industry.

The Initiative is intended to promote appreciation, visibility and recognition of positive contributions. It is not an employee performance review, professional accreditation programme or formal award scheme.

3. Eligibility

• Nominations may be submitted by individuals aged 18 years or over.
• Nominees may be any individual working within the oil and gas industry, regardless of employer, role, seniority or discipline.
• Self-nominations are not permitted.
• Employees, contractors, consultants and any individual receiving payment or remuneration from Process Vision may be nominated but are not eligible to be selected as recognised nominees or receive any associated token of appreciation.
• Nominators confirm that the information supplied is accurate and provided in good faith.
• Process Vision reserves the right to reject nominations that are incomplete, misleading, inappropriate, offensive, fraudulent or otherwise inconsistent with the purpose of the Initiative.

4. Recognition Categories

Nominations may be submitted against one or more of the following categories:

• Goes the Extra Mile
• Improves Safety Behind the Scenes
• Makes Day-to-Day Work Easier for the Team
• Inspires the Younger Generation

Process Vision reserves the right to allocate nominations to the category it considers most appropriate based on the information provided.

5. Nomination Period

Only nominations received during the published nomination period will be considered.

Process Vision reserves the right to extend, amend or close the nomination period at its discretion.

6. Judging Process

• All valid nominations will be reviewed by a judging panel appointed by Process Vision.
• Judges will assess nominations against the relevant recognition category and the supporting information provided within the nomination.
• Nominations will be evaluated on how effectively they demonstrate the behaviours, contribution, impact or qualities associated with the category for which they have been nominated.
• One recognised nominee may be selected within each category.
• Process Vision reserves the right not to select a recognised nominee within a category if, in the opinion of the judges, no nomination sufficiently demonstrates the intent of that category.
• The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding judging decisions.

7. Recognition

All valid nominees may be acknowledged as participants in the Initiative.

In addition, one recognised nominee may be selected within each category.

Each recognised nominee may receive:

• A recognition certificate;
• An optional public spotlight, profile or acknowledgement (subject to consent); and
• A token of appreciation with a monetary value.

The token of appreciation may take the form of:

• A charitable donation made on the recipient’s behalf;
• A gift card;
• A voucher; or
• Another recognition item determined by Process Vision.

Tokens of appreciation are awarded only to the recognised nominee within each category and are not provided to all nominees.

The form, value and method of delivery of any token of appreciation shall be determined by Process Vision.

No cash alternative will be offered unless required by applicable law.

8. Consent and Publicity

• No nominee’s name, image, testimonial, nomination content or personal information will be made public without their consent.
• Process Vision will contact recognised nominees before publishing any information relating to their recognition.
• Recognised nominees may decline public recognition without affecting their eligibility to receive their certificate or token of appreciation.
• Process Vision reserves the right to publish anonymised campaign results and participation statistics.

9. Data Protection

Personal information collected through the Initiative will be used solely for the administration of nominations, judging, communications relating to recognition, and any legitimate marketing communications.

Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and Process Vision’s Privacy Policy.

10. Employer Policies

Nominees are responsible for ensuring that acceptance of any recognition or token of appreciation does not conflict with the policies, contractual obligations or compliance requirements of their employer.

Process Vision accepts no responsibility for restrictions imposed by a nominee’s employer.

11. Changes to the Initiative

As the Initiative is being run as a pilot programme, Process Vision reserves the right to amend, suspend or discontinue the Initiative, categories, judging process, recognition structure or associated communications at any time.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Process Vision shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from participation in the Initiative, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
