Basingstoke, UK – 21 May 2026. Process Vision is proud to announce that its Managing Director, Paul Stockwell, will present at the GPA Europe Annual Conference 2025, held at The Hague Marriott Hotel, The Netherlands, from 4th to 6th June.
Paul will be speaking during the high-level technical Workshop on 4th June, themed “Purification of Gas for Cryogenic Processes.” His presentation, titled “Hydrocarbon Dewpoint: The Gap Between Theory and Reality,” challenges long-standing assumptions in gas quality measurement and advocates for a more reliable approach to ensuring gas dryness.
For decades, hydrocarbon dewpoint has been used as the benchmark for determining the “dryness” of natural gas. However, as Paul will demonstrate, the variability between different dewpoint measurement methods, sometimes up to 180°F (100°C) for the same gas mixture, creating a significant reliability gap. This can result in undetected liquids passing through custody transfer points, leading to equipment damage, inefficient operations, and costly downtime.
In his talk, Paul will share real-world field data that illustrates these inconsistencies and introduce a breakthrough solution: real-time visual monitoring using advanced pipeline camera systems. These systems offer live, high-resolution video of gas flow within high-pressure pipelines, enabling operators to detect mist, stratified liquids, and contamination invisible to traditional methods.
“This approach transforms how we assess gas quality,” said Paul Stockwell. “By combining hydrocarbon dewpoint measurements with real-time visual data, operators gain a complete picture of what’s really happening inside the pipeline, providing confidence in their operations, contract compliance and ultimately increasing business process reliability.”
The presentation supports Process Vision’s ongoing mission to improve reliability and efficiency in the gas industry through advanced image-processing technologies. Their LineVu system is already being adopted by gas transmission companies to reduce unplanned shutdowns, improve asset integrity, and minimise the financial and operational risks of undetected liquid carryover.

Process Vision
Process Vision, based in Basingstoke, UK, is innovating for a better tomorrow. With cutting-edge vision technology, we are revolutionizing the industry and enhancing lives and businesses. We optimize processes, predict failures, and set a new standard for efficiency.
Process Vision partners with engineers and managers in the Energy industry to improve reliability and efficiency through innovative image-processing technology. Our systems detect and alert on liquids, hydrate, wax, and solid contamination in natural gas pipelines while providing expert guidance for effective prevention and removal. With real-time visibility into pipeline health and accurate time and location-stamped video evidence, Process Vision is revealing liquid carryover in reportedly “dry” gases reducing the risk of equipment failure, maintenance costs and unscheduled outages.
